Three new players tonight – here’s hoping one of them will return tomorrow!

Although last night’s situation was a lot of fun, this one is more complicated.

Hans

Kamm

Matt

Egbert

Kyle

Webb

5,600 9,200 11,400

We’ll be dealing with this category:

U.S. STATES

We seem to be gaining in scope from yesterday. Tomorrow’s Final Jeopardy! category will be NORTH AMERICAN COUNTRIES… and by Friday we’ll wrap up the week with THE SOLAR SYSTEM.

Check out the video for the math.

What actually happened

Hans Matt Kyle
5,600 9,200 11,400
1,401 9,200 7,001
4,199 0 4,399
min max min max min max
5,600 2,399 2,400 7,001
1,199 4,401 4,799
399 199

Was Hans anticipating that Matt would wager 2,201 to cover a zero by Kyle? If so, he might as well have gone all-in.

Don’t know what Matt is doing in betting the farm. I like the 2,400 wager, as it covers that small amount out of Kyle and stays above an 1,199 correct response from Hans. (I guess Hans could go for 1,200 even here, too.)

Kyle is the beneficiary of two very generous wagers. She seemed to be a demon on the buzzer, so we’ll see what happens with a game under her belt tomorrow.
