Daily analysis, Tuesday, April 15
We’ve got a champion on the cusp of the attention of the Jeopardy! social media team. Will she make it over the edge?![]()
Yep – once again, Sandie’s got the game locked up before Final.
Sandie Baker: 21,100
Jennie Crabbe: 9,400
J.D. Lape: 6,600
The Final Jeopardy! category: THE ANCIENT WONDERS
The interesting match is between Jennie and J.D. for second.
Basic strategy
Sandie can wager up to 2,300 to preserve her victory.
Jennie should wager 3,800 to cover a double-up by J.D.
J.D. should cap his wager at 999 so to take advantage of a miss by Jennie.
Mind games
Since J.D. can’t cover a zero wager by Jennie (Rule #3), if she thinks J.D. will wager small, Jennie could wager up to 1,800.
If he fears this, J.D. could wager everything (or at least 5,600).
Both went “big”. All three missed.
The Final Jeopardy! clue for April 15, 2014 (THE ANCIENT WONDERS):
FAR APART ALPHABETICALLY, THEY’RE THE 2 DEITIES IN THE NAMES OF THE 7 ANCIENT WONDERS
Correct response: Who are Artemis (at Ephesus) and Zeus (at Olympus)?
