I considered wagering 15,200, but I thought the increased chance of picking up an extra thousand dollars wasn’t worth risking even the slightest chance that Matt might inexplicably wager nothing. As Ricky Bobby says, “If you ain’t first you’re last.” I wager for the lead in that situation every time.
As for FJ. I knew Titania wasn’t a tragic heroine and didn’t have enough letters to boot. I just wrote it down initially because I knew it was a moon of Uranus. I had hoped to cross it off when a better response came to mind, but ran out of time before I worked my way to King Lear.
By the way, thanks for doing these. They were a great help as I was preparing for the show. Unfortunately I didn’t get to use anything I learned in a really interesting wagering scenario.
