It’s a sad day here at The Final Wager: the man who inspired this site’s appearance passed away this morning.

The designer Massimo Vignelli was responsible for countless innovations, some of which I outline in this remembrance. He is credited with making the typeface Helvetica ubiquitous in the United States – the same I use on all of my graphics here.

Anyway, we have a game to play, and Julia knows this.
