Daily analysis, October 15 – preempted by a pointless debate

Thanks to the New York City mayoral debate for pushing Jeopardy! back to 1:37 a.m. What’s the point, with Bill de Blasio leading by 44 points?

We nerds can never catch a fair break.

I might put something on YouTube tomorrow, after some sleep.

We’ve got a tight one going into Final. Stuart had a Daily Double on what turned out to be the last clue of Double Jeopardy!, although there were four other clues left, so I don’t fault him for an improper wager.

The scores:

Chris Gaiman: 8,000
Emily Horne: 8,400
Stuart Anderson: 9,200

It’s situations like this where the second-place player gets stuffed: she needs to wager big, get it right, and hope first misses. In any event, I’m not sure what Emily was doing with that wager.
