The Final Wager – Wednesday, March 12, 2014
Any time there’s a librarian at the second podium, I get chills.![]()
Why? Well, I was defeated in such a manner in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions.
And ohhhhh boy. Arthur can’t handle the double-barreled female onslaught! He’s heading into Final in third place – unknown territory for the Chu Chu Train.
Arthur Chu: 6,400
Julie Hornick: 7,800
Diana Peloquin: 12,100
The Final Jeopardy! category: BRITISH ROYALTY
The wagering here is straightforward.
Diana should wager 3,500 to cover Julie.
Julie and Arthur need to get it right to have a shot, so they should wager everything.
Arthur knew the correct response after Alex made a comment, but it didn’t matter – Diana knew it, too, and she takes home the spoils. She played very well, beating Arthur at his own game: the Forrest Bounce plus aggressive DD wagering.
$298,200 is nothing to shake a stick at. Thanks for the ride, Arthur – we’ll see you in the TOC!
The Final Jeopardy! clue for March 12, 2014 (BRITISH ROYALTY):
HE WAS THE LAST MALE MONARCH WHO HAD NOT PREVIOUSLY BEEN PRINCE OF WALES
Correct response: Who is George VI?
