Wagering practice – Betting smaller from first
This is going to be a two-part question. Below are the answers to the first round of wagering between Lynn and Renzo. You’ll notice that, with Renzo’s proper wagering, Lance is not a factor.
Assuming Lynn doesn’t like the category, does she have a better wager than 0 – although not as optimal as 17,400? If so, how should Renzo respond?

- (1/4) Renzo won this game in spite of Lynn’s pre-Final lead and correct answer. Did she have a better wager than zero? Let’s see what Renzo needs to do.

- (2/4) Rule #1, first vs. second: Lynn will need to put up a whopping 17,400 to cover a double-up by Renzo.

- (3/4) Rule #2, first vs. second: Renzo can wager up to 16,600 to stay above Lynn should she wager to win and answer incorrectly.

- (4/4) Rule #1, second vs. third: But Renzo can wager no more than 7,800 to stay at or above Lance’s doubled total. This becomes his new maximum wager.
