I have a feeling Choyon Manjrekar would have done well with this game.
Between a category called HYMN BOOK (which went completely untouched – c’mon, guys!) and this Final, Thursday’s game was tailor-made for our good musical-loving friend.
With a grand total of seven clues untouched in this game, it’s no surprise the scores are so low. But a win is a win, and Matt will take down his third.

It’s funny how Ed and Desta both had one good option that you didn’t mention, yet neither made a wager which was even slightly defensible.
Desta has an unsafe wager with 199-1,000, which she should be making a lot of the time in the NE. Ed has 3,200, which he needs to threaten to do occasionally, as Desta crushes his 1001-1199 with 199-1,000 if Ed is too predictable.
