I’m really, really interested to see how things go tonight.

In particular, I want to know if this tweet was a veiled threat of some sort:
Glad to hear you’re OK — sorry to put you through that. Maybe keep a doctor on standby while I’m on the show. https://t.co/Q8HQZjUrjb

Dan just can’t do that again here – can he?

Sad to say Jane is out – sometimes, things just don’t click. Now, I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think of the larynx as a passageway, and maybe she fell victim to the same trap.
Not much else to say here, except I get to sleep in my own bed tonight.
What actually happened
| Dan | Kate | Jane | |||
| 18,000 | 7,000 | -2,000 | |||

Kate didn’t give herself a shot in case Dan suddenly became a Just Wager $4000 acolyte.
We have another multi-day champ on our hands, and Dan returns tomorrow to build on his $45,599.
I have to admit my first thought on seeing this clue was, ‘Yeah, and maybe soon they’ll be bunkmates in federal prison.’
One of the subjects of the clue, unsurprisingly, had some thoughts on the matter (via MSNBC). Fun parts: “the other two crapped out” and “Bob Barker is great when he talks politics”

BTW, did anyone else notice the theme of first round category “FAMILIAR NUMBERS” (They never commented on it). The correct response in each case was the value of the clue (200, 400, 600, etc), hence “FAMILIAR”. It probably would have been more obvious had they chosen the clues in top-down order (the way the good lord intended).
