Will Matt break our carousel of champions?

Toward the very end, it looked like he might get locked out before Final. Tonight’s notes:

Notes 20160707

And the scores:

Matt

Hoffer-Hawlik (1x)

Neil

Sondov

Bonnie

Megel

15,600 3,400 19,400

What actually happened

Matt Neil Bonnie
15,600 3,400 19,400
4,801 3,400 12,000
10,799 0 31,400
min max min max
7,601 7,999 11,801 12,599
399 4,201 7,599
3,801

I don’t like Matt’s wager because it fails to cover Bonnie’s potential Shoretegic wager of 4,201.

Our last multi-day champ, Harris Stutman, lost more than a week ago (Wednesday to be exact). [insert carousel music]

  1. Actually, Harris Stutman lost on Wednesday of last week, not Tuesday.

  2. I got the River Shannon clue because of a story Stephen Colbert told, in which he was afraid to tell his mom that the building he was living in was named after Oliver Cromwell because: “Cromwell is like Satan. He drove our family west of the River Shannon to farm rocks 350 years ago! I was raised on that story.”
