Our week started off questionably – but the winner made the right wager. How will he do tonight?

I had to re-watch Philip’s Penultimate Wager twice before making tonight’s video.

I liked it. Enjoy.

Nothing to see here, really. I feel particularly bad for Sean because he played a good game, but them’s the breaks sometimes.

What actually happened

Philip Kristen Sean
38,600 4,000 13,600
11,300 4,000 5,599
49,900 0 19,199
min max
11,399

And, hey! Everyone wagered properly!

Today’s big massive total – which ranks #41 all-time – brings Philip up to a two-game total of $71,098. The man knows how to play.

Don’t forget to add to Philip’s achievements the fact that he has put a smile back on your face.

  2. it looked like he tried to overthink it at first didn’t it? I think he thought Vancouver was too easy. I’m glad he got it. I don’t know if his wagering strategy is sustainable, but I hope it is.

Correct me if I’m wrong here Keith, but isn’t there a big difference between the 19000 that he bet and the 15600 scenario you outline? My thought is, if he doesn’t come up with Vancouver, he would still have 4000 leftover, and the chance of picking up a quick 4000 before the bell. That 8000 would prevent a lockout. Obviously there are no guarantees and this is all hypothetical, but I would think you might want to preserve at least a chance to come back. By the way, I really like Philip too and agree wholeheartedly with your point regarding betting big on daily doubles (especially categories you like). Glad to see some good wagers on FJ.
