Friday, November 20, 2015 – ToC2015 Finals #2

Alex Jacob built a huge lead yesterday. But will Matt Jackson or Kerry Greene mount a comeback? It’s the concluding match of the 2015 Tournament of Champions!

Here are our scores heading into Final:

Matt

Jackson

Alex

Jacob

Kerry

Greene

Today: 7,200 18,700 3,200
Yesterday: 3,000 29,600 3,400
Current: 10,200 48,300 6,600
Maximum: 17,400 67,000 9,800

As you can see, Alex can’t lose even if he wagers everything and gets it wrong. And Matt already has more than Kerry could possibly get.

Boring!

Congrats to Alex Jacob, who moves up to #10 all-time in winnings, a shade ahead of Arthur Chu and just behind Ben Ingram. Matt Jackson moves up to fourth, while Kerry Greene sits at #37. Until the next mega-tournament, anyway…

Thanks to all of the contestants for a fantastic tournament!

Has anyone ever had a lock before FJ in one of these tournaments before? I haven’t seen it happen.

Yes, many times before. (Having what Stefan Goodreau calls a “superlock” where your opponents can’t even catch up to your first-day total and thus impossible for you to “Clavin” is rarer, but it is happened at least several times that I recall.)

What do you think?
