Three more mustache-era champions return to duke it out.The Final Wager - March 6, 2014

Things are shaping up as I thought they might, but everyone’s still alive for Final.

Dave Abbott: 16,200
Mark Dawson: 13,600
Claudia Perry: 5,800

The Final Jeopardy! category: PULITZER PRIZE-WINNING AUTHORS

More mind games tonight! Will we have a repeat of Tuesday’s scenario?

Dave could wager 11,001 for the lock-out. In response, Mark should cap his wager at 8,400, and Claudia at 600.

Mark can wager up to 1,999 to keep Claudia at bay – but Dave could respond with a small wager, like Pam did on Tuesday.

To account for this, Mark might wager between 5,400 and 7,199; Claudia should wager everything, because she needs to get it right against any rational Mark wager.

I guess Pam’s strategy didn’t rub off on her fellow 1990s contestant!

The Final Jeopardy! clue for March 6, 2014 (PULITZER PRIZE-WINNING AUTHORS):

HE’S THE MOST RECENT WINNER OF 2 PULITZER PRIZES FOR FICTION, WINNING IN 1982 & 1991 FOR BOOKS IN THE SAME SERIES

Correct response: Who is John Updike?
