Daily analysis, October 29 – perhaps the most exciting game so far this season

Anyone else already sick of the plugs for Lindblad Expeditions? Yikes.Cover 20131029

Wow, that was an exciting game, wasn’t it? I was cursing Sean a bit for wagering an odd number on that Daily Double, since it precluded the chance for a three-way tie.

Molly Kossoff: 14,200
Sean Kram: 16,700
Marge Lindblom: 11,000

Sean needs to wager 11,700 to cover Molly. The scores are too tight for him to consider “alternative” options.

Molly should wager at least 7,800 to cover Marge, but no more than 9,200 so she doesn’t fall below Sean if he’s wrong.

Marge can wager between 3,200 to cover a zero by Molly and 4,600 to stay above Molly’s score if she wagers the bare minimum.

Judging from yesterday’s game, it seems Molly came in without a strategy in mind. Sean and Marge had good wagers. (Sean’s +$1 is ok since it would have taken monumental mistakes by the other two for it to cost him.)
